IDL projects and our communities

Giving back to our community is a vital component of our corporate and work culture. IDL Projects strives to establish and maintain positive relationships with many organizations, both in business, regional government and private organizations.

Community and Employment Investment

IDL supports local and regional employment initiatives. We have strong and healthy relationships with various labour groups and organizations. As such we have the ability to support our projects with stability and our clients with confidence.

Family Support Program at UNBC

Dually supported by the Schwab Family and contributions from IDL Projects' employees, the Northern Family Support Program helps families and individuals in crisis living in northern British Columbia. As well, an annual Social Entrepreneurship Award equal to one-half of the cost of full-time tuition fees is awarded to a student. The first recipient of the Award will be announced in Fall 2012.

The Program contributions are also going towards an expansion of the Community Care Centre which will be able to provide greater support for families in need in the community; funding and salaries of support staff that will provide research and valuable support for social workers; and grants given to persons or families in crisis (scheduled to begin in Winter 2013.)
