safety services

IDL Projects is immensely proud of its safety record. We've made the investment in our people to ensure that they are properly trained in protecting themselves, their co-workers and their job site. In 2010 our Medical Rate Incident (MIR) was 0.64 percent, based on 30 first aid cases spread across more than 312,000 hours of work.

Our company holds membership in the following safety organizations:

  • Alberta Construction Safety Association
  • Northern BC Construction Association
  • Construction Safety Association of BC

Every one of our employees is empowered to ensure the safety of the client's work site. All IDL staff are mandated to report all incidents and accidents to their supervisor on the day of the injury or incident.

IDL has also developed the following internal safety practices:

  • Over 60 specific work procedures for various tasks (such as rules for working in a confined space, excavating work, fall protection, shut down planning and so on.)
  • A supervisor's training program.
  • Creation of an Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) manual.
  • All new IDL employees receive safety training including Construction Safety Training System (CSTS), First Aid, site and company orientations and WHMIS training.
