MOTI – Highway 16 Bunce Road to Blackwater Road Four-Laning

Four laning construction of 3.4 km of Highway 16, including intersection improvements at Bunce/ Gauthier, Haldi and Blackwater intersections. Work included: extensive work around and reouting of existing utilities, geosynthetic reinforced slope retaining wall, extension of a pedestrian tunnel, building demolition, roadway and drainage excavation and embankment, pipe boring/tunneling, supply and placement of granular materials, drainage installation, asphalt paving, concrete curb and gutter and landscaping. 

IDL was awarded the Deputy Minister’s Award of Excellence – 2018 in recognition of this project.
