Prince George Airport Hangar Reconstruction
Design-build of a 26,840 ft2 hangar and 18,040 ft2 two-storey office structure. The building superstructure was pre-engineered with 3″ composite wall panels and standing seem metal roof. The hangar has radiant floor heat with MUA units, and was divided into two bays via a curtain. The office is a two-storey structure with the main floor being completed in this contract and 2nd floor unfinished.
Design work commenced in November 2010 with building pre-engineered delivered to site mid-May of 2011. Total project was completed on October 31, 2011.
The hangar was built on the same site as the previous hangar that burnt down, with the new hangar footprint 30% larger than the previous hangar.
